Daniel Warren Johnson Vanish #5 Variant Cover Original Art (Image, 2023). A vertigo-inducing staircase corkscrews into darkness, framing Oliver Harrison like the eye of a storm. Daniel Warren Johnson turns the whole cover into a visual freefall: you're placed at a low, disorienting angle, staring straight into Oliver's wild, straight-jacketed gaze as papers and debris whip around him in a cyclone. The arched windows circling the pit feel like eyes watching his descent. It's signature DWJ: a kinetic, unraveled composition that mirrors the collapse of a once-mythic hero spiraling ever deeper into madness. Ink and white paint over graphite and printed blue lines on Bristol board with an image area of 10.75" x 16.75". Signed and dated by Johnson in the lower right corner, and again in the top margin.
