Description

Dan Adkins Strange Tales #162 Doctor Strange Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1967). With his Marvel movie appearances in the December, 2021 release Spider-Man: No Way Home and the scheduled May, 2022 release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, along with his supposed "death" in comics, fan interest in Doctor Strange is at an all-time high. This cover features him holding the Staff of Polar Power as he faces the mysterious Nebulos from the story "From the Never-World Comes... Nebulos!" It was part 16 of a 22-part epic that introduced the Living Tribunal to the Marvel Universe. This twice-up scale Silver Age cover was produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13.25" x 20.25". The logos and corner box are all stat paste-up, as well as Nebulos' face and part of his head/crown. The CCA stamp paste-up is missing. The page is tanned, with edge and corner damage in the margins. There is a 2" tear in the bottom center that gets into the image area a bit, taped from the backside, and there is some tape on the backside, from a previous matting job. The image area is in Very Good condition.
From the SuperHero Life Collection of Yasha Yothi.
