Curt Swan and Neal Adams Adventure Comics #382 Cover Superman and Supergirl Original Art (DC, 1969). A real rarity of a cover, as there are only a few that feature art by both of Superman's greatest artists of this period... Mr. Curt Swan and Mr. Neal Adams! It's a family super-feud, as Superman kicks Supergirl out of the Fortress of Solitude in the story "The Super-Team's Split-Up!" Rendered in ink over graphite on Sparta Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Someone at DC decided the Superman figure was too small, so a stat was created of the figure and affixed to the board, with whiteout and additional art to cover over the previous original art beneath. The logo, price, and issue number are also stats that were affixed to the board. The piece has been professionally cleaned and reconditioned. The logo stat and the Superman stat were removed and affixed to an acetate overlay (with additional whiteout and a touch of art to extend from the stat), and whiteout was used on the art board itself to cover the additional art that originally extended the stat element. The DC bullet in the top left is a stripped-in modern day recreation. Signed by Neal Adams in the lower margin.
