DescriptionCurt Swan and Murphy Anderson - Original Cover Art for Superboy #180 (DC, 1971). The first name that usually comes to mind, when speaking of Superman artists, is Curt Swan. His version of Superman has been the model for nearly every subsequent artist who worked on the titles. This was also true for the younger Superboy. This is a great image that must have really leapt off the comic racks. This piece has been heavily restored. The image of Superboy and the wolves, and the men in house (all the original drawn portions of the cover) which was rendered on vellum, is original. The rest has been recently reproduced and then all pieces were applied to a period DC cover art board. The size of the image is approximately 10.75" x 16".
