DescriptionCurt Swan and George Klein Superman #186 Cover Original Art (DC, 1966). No treasured DC art showpiece exclaims "Silver Age" as loudly as a Curt Swan/George Klein Superman cover. Examples are far and few between -- and this is only the second one we have offered to date. This eerie supernatural scene features the classic type of "exposed secret identity" theme favored by editor Mort Weisinger, as a ghostly vision of the Man of Steel confesses to being Clark Kent in "The Two Ghosts of Superman." This peerless DC masterpiece has an image area of 12.5" x 18", and note too, the short-lived, yet beloved "Go-Go Check" motif along the top edge of the design. Aside from a trimmed upper margin, some mild overall paper aging, pasted-on masthead stats and word balloons, and a taped-in "Featuring:" caption at the lower left, the art is in Excellent condition. All logo stats are original, and the two word balloons are hand-lettered original production art, not stats.
