DescriptionCurt Swan and George Klein Action Comics #315 Cover Original Art (DC, 1964). Nothing shouts "Silver Age" quite like a Curt Swan/George Klein Superman cover. Examples are far and few between, and this is only the second one spotlighting the adult Man of Steel that we have offered to date. For many DC fans, the Swan/Klein Super-team was tops. This gem features the classic type of "troubled youth" cover hook favored by editor Mort Weisinger, as the Man of Steel faces Zigi and Zagi, "The Juvenile Delinquents from Alpha Centauri." This awesome piece has an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". The word balloons are cut out and pasted-on original lettering art. Aside from some mild overall paper aging, the art is in Excellent condition. Except for the caption box at the upper right, the issue number, and the price stat (which are carefully color-matched replacements), all logo/type stats are original. Also included with this lot are a color guide and printer's proof of the cover. From the G. B. Morris Collection.
