Comic Artist The Spirit Unused Cover Painting Original Art (c. 1974-86). This gorgeous cover piece ultimately went unused. It was undoubtable intended for one of the reprints of "The Name is 'Powder'" from The Spirit Section 1-4-48. This could have been the 1974 Warren reprint, or the 1986 Kitchen Sink Press reprint. The figure of Powder is a direct homage to Page 1 of The Spirit Section from 1948. Created in opaque watercolor on 15" x 21.5" illustration board.
