Charlie Armentano Super DC Giant S-21 "Love 1971" Cover Original Art (DC, 1971). The romance collectors among us have always wondered about this comic's mysterious cover artist "C. Armentano." A caption in Paul Levitz's 75 Years of DC Comics revealed that his first name is Charlie, and here we have the original art for his one and only comic book cover. This "pop-art" image is one of the most unusual DC covers of the 1970s. Even more unusual is the fact that the cover was turned in as a color piece! Rendered in ink and colored marker. This piece has an image area of 10" x 15". There's some foxing on the title stat, many pinholes at the top, and rust on the back of the piece from some old paper clips. Very Good condition.
