Description
Charles Vess Swamp Thing V2#137 Cover Painting Original Art (DC, 1993). The darker side of Charles Vess comes out for a visit on this fantastic cover painting featuring General Sunderland (who is being possessed by Anton Arcane). They are flanked by Arcane's Unmen. Vess's work usually features more of a fairy-like imagery than this horror-based piece. He is obviously equally adept at both! It's a huge cover piece produced in acrylic paint and graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 14" x 21". There are two very minor pen-point sized punctures on the top surface (not through the board) that were covered with black marker on the middle right side... they are all but unnoticeable.
