    Charles Vess Pittsburgh Comic Con Program Cover Original Art (1997). A beautiful cover illustration by fantasy and cover artist Charles Vess. Contributing to Heavy Metal and National Lampoon early in his career, Vess went on to work in comics, most notably working with Neil Gaiman on Sandman and Books of Magic. Around the time of this convention, he was working with Gaiman on Stardust, contributing 175 paintings, for which he would win many awards. Rendered in ink and watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with an image size of 8.75" x 12.5". The board has a paper overlay with hand-written notes taped at the top, tape residue on the top corners, abrasions on the bottom corners, with a small tear and light wear to the bottom edge. In Very Good condition.
