Charles Burns The Believer Magazine #24 May-2005 Cover Tintin Original Art (McSweeney's, 2005). A charming image of Tintin, one of the most famous comic book characters in the entire world! Charles Burns provided many covers for this magazine, and the standard layout usually featured four caricature portraits by him for specific interviews and articles in that issue. This piece was for the Paul La Farge article about Frederick Tuten's book Tintin in the New World, which was a look at an adult Tintin dealing with adult problems and issues. The art was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with a matted image area of 6.5" x 7.25". Matted to 8.5" x 11". In Excellent condition.
