Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson Flash #176 Cover Original Art (DC, 1968). Can the Fastest Man Alive outrun Death! In a chilling cover for "Death Stalks the Flash", we find Barry Allen entering the Dream Dimension with hopes of saving his ailing wife Iris, who is having nightmares of Death. This unsettling scene was produced by two masters of their time, Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson. Infantino is regarded by many to be one of the top comic artists of all time, beginning his career at DC during the Golden Age on characters like the original Flash, and he was the artistic force behind the revival of the Flash in 1956 that directly kicked-off the Silver Age of Comics. Murphy Anderson is known for his high quality Silver Age work on Hawkman during the early 70s. This piece is a must have for Silver Age collectors! This was Carmine Infantino's last Silver Age Flash cover, making it even more desirable. Ink over graphite on mylar paper with an image area of 10" x 15" that has been affixed to larger Bristol board. Mild toning, marginal adhesive staining, and the date and price text on the paper are stat paste-ups. The logo and text are on the acetate overlay.
