DescriptionCarmine Infantino and Joe Rubinstein Nova #24 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1979). In the ever-popular face-off line-up pose, Nova, the Comet, and the Comet's son Crime-Buster face down the Sphinx and his minions. The popular title was doomed to only one more issue before cancellation; however, the story was continued in the pages of Fantastic Four #204-209, and Rom #24. Nova has again become a popular Marvel character, and the Nova Corps was featured in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. This cover was created in ink over graphite (with white paint highlights) on World Color Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The corner box, header, and logo are stat paste-ups, as is the lower caption box on the cover. There is light discoloration in the stats, with minor glue residue in the lower section. A small bit of white paint near Nova's left hand has chipped off. Overall in Very Good condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
