Description
Carl Barks Donald Duck #101 Cover Preliminary Original Art Group of 2 (Gold Key, 1965). An exciting vintage cover featuring Donald, his nephews, Uncle Scrooge, and Gryo Gearloose. It was for the story "The Incredible Golden Iceberg!" The prelim cover art was rendered in graphite on onionskin paper with an image area of 10.75" x 15.25". The art is hinge-taped to a bright white Bristol board, and there is an acetate overlay that has modern day recreations of the cover dressing. The piece is accompanyed by a modern day recreation produced from ink printed blue lines on Bristol board with recreation cover dressing stats affixed directly to the board. In Very Good condition.NOTE: Only the prelim art is by Carl Barks.
