Description

C. C. Beck Shazam #3 Cover Original Art (DC, 1973). Captain Marvel is featured front and center on the cover of this landmark issue, flanked by Captain Marvel Jr. and Mary Marvel in their first cover appearance since the Golden Age. A bold Bronze Age revival of the beloved Marvel Family, illustrated by their legendary co-creator C. C. Beck. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by C. C. Beck in the image area; signed by Beck, Julius Schwartz, and Carmine Infantino in the lower margin; and signed by Jackson Bostwick, the actor who played Shazam on the 1970s TV show, in the top margin. The board is lightly toned with stat logo and header. Pinholes in the top corners. In Excellent condition.
