Description

Bryan Hitch The Transformers Special - Collected Comics #10 Megatron and Bruticus Cover Original Art (Marvel UK, 1988). Bruticus smashes through the cover, tearing across a schematic of the deposed Megatron, a not-so-subtle hint at the Decepticon power struggle. Bryan Hitch's dynamic image fronted Issue #10 of Marvel UK's companion series to the G1 comic, the oversized reprint line often released as seasonal specials. This installment reprinted the "Second Generation!" saga (Issues #63-65), where Autobots and Decepticons uncover the secrets of next-generation combiners and Megatron fights Shockwave to reclaim his throne, with towering team-ups filling the pages. The cover also stands as an early showcase of Hitch's talent, years before he would reshape the look of modern comics on Stormwatch, The Authority, JLA, and The Ultimates. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.75" x 14.25". Slight toning, with a hint of foxing, light staining, whiteout corrections, minor tear in lower right corner, and handling wear. Signed and dated by Hitch in the lower left image area. In Very Good condition.
