Description

Brian Stelfreeze Batman: Shadow of the Bat #48 "The Apocalypse Plague: Part One" Cover Painting Original Art (DC, 1996). A noted member of Gaijin Studios, Brian Stelfreeze is well-known for his striking Bat-related covers. This one is no exception! With the dangerous red light on the "safe" side, and the sickly green light on the "exposed" side, this was the high-stakes cover for part one of the multi-part "Apocalypse Plague" story that ran through the various Bat-books of this era. This part was titled "Contagion." The oil on illustration board image measures 11.75" x 17". The board is mounted on a Masonite board measuring 14.75" x 20". Stelfreeze signed in the lower art image area. In Excellent condition.
