DescriptionBrent Anderson X-Men Annual #5 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1981). The Fantastic Four join Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Kitty Pryde in a frantic free-for-all battle royale against the Badoon invasion, in this action-packed (make that action-crammed) cover illustration. Plus, there's more than meets the eye here! In a special "Easter Egg" surprise, there's an extra illustration of Kitty Pryde hiding under the UPC box in the lower left corner! Hold the art up to the light, and you can make her out, complete with a word balloon caption, saying, "I had to kick, scream and hold my breath, but they let me come!" We'll let the winning bidder decide if they want to have the box removed (it is beginning to come loose, as is the "Co-Starring the Fantastic Four" reversed type blurb). The art is in ink and graphite on Marvel Comics Bristol board, with an image area of 9.75" x 15", and other than the mentioned loose stats, is in Excellent condition. Brent Anderson has signed the art in red ink along the bottom border area.
