Description

Bob Larkin The Fantastic Four Painted Book Cover Illustration Original Art (Fireside/Simon and Schuster, 1979). It's clobberin' time! This block-busting, ever-lovin', blue-eyed cover painting by Bob Larkin was created for the popular Fantastic Four reprint by Fireside Books. Retaining Jack Kirby's dynamic sense of design and concepts for the FF, Larkin does a spectacular job of rendering the scene with rich color and fine brushstrokes. Examine the fine metallic surfaces of the "Kirby-tech" machinery, as well the fiery assault of the Human Torch, and this scene will almost make you exclaim, Excelsior! The work is painted on a 15" x 20" piece of illustration board, and is in Excellent overall condition. A perfect item for a Fantastic Four fan.
