Description

Bob Larkin Doc Savage vs. Werewolf Original Cover Painting (2016). Larkin's suspenseful interpretation of a classic Doc Savage scene finds the hero braced for an attack. A possible tribute to the fifth Doc Savage novel "Brand of the Werewolf" (1934). The masterstroke is to model the werewolf after Lon Chaney, Jr.'s appearance in the 1940 film The Wolf Man. Gouache on illustration board with image area of 13" x 18", framed to 21" x 26.5". Excellent condition.
