Description

Bob Larkin Crazy Magazine #42 Cover Original Art (Marvel Comics, 1978). The beauty of this self-spoofing Marvel cover lies in Larkin's standing as an official artist in the larger idiom of superheroic adventure. Larkin's familiarity with the Hulk and Spider-Man in their more serious identities makes him an ideal artist to capture the characters in a goofy and playful moment. The Hulk, as seen here, is based upon Lou Ferrigno's portrayal of the character in the 1978 network teleseries. Acrylics on toned illustration board. Image area, 8" x 12.5". Minimal paint-scuffing. Very Good condition.
