Bob Hall Marvel Classics Comics #36 "A Christmas Carol" Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1978). Marvel's foray into Classics Illustrated territory reached a high point in an adaptation of the Dickens classic. Nice dimensional effect, here, with a strategic application of white-on-black shading film lending an illusion of depth. Signed by Hall at lower right. The unbilled inkers may be Steve Leialoha and Hall himself. An appropriate Victorian Age vibe, here. Ink, white-watercolor, and shading film over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15".
