Description

Bill (Will) Elder SNARF #10 Cover and Preliminary Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press, 1987). This cover by "Wild Bill" Elder is a parody of the Théodore Géricault painting "The Raft of the Medusa". The prelim piece was created in pure graphite on 7.5" x 10.5" onion skin paper. Signed and titled in the lower portion, where there is also a rip and a crease in the paper. The full-sized finished piece, featuring some minor gag edits and changes, was created in ink and ink wash over graphite on illustration board. Signed in the lower right of the 10" x 14.75" image area. Lightly toned and in Very Good condition.
