Bill (Will) Elder Humbug #6 Inside Front Cover Subscription Ad Original Art (Humbug Publications, 1958). If that Santa rings a bell with you, it might be because Elder included him as a caricature of publisher Harvey Kurtzman. There is even a man in a turban in the background that reminds us of Al Jaffee's magician character. A truly impressive illustration with beautiful detailed grey tone tempera on illustration board with an image area of 11.25" x 15". Signed in the lower right. The toned board is in Very Good condition.More Information: EDIT: Changed artist attribution from "Bill Elder" to "Bill (Will) Elder".
