Description

Bill Sienkiewicz Marvel Super Special #36 Unpublished Dune Cover Painting Original Art (Marvel, 1984). Many of the principal players from the 1984 feature film adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune are pictured on this cover... including Paul Atreides (Kyle MacLachlan), Baron Harkonnen (Kenneth McMillian), Feyd-Rautha (Sting!), and Lady Jessica (Francesca Annis). Created in oil on illustration board. Signed and dated in the lower right of the 11.75" x 16.25" image area. The Sandworm in the background, and other elements are slightly different from the published image. UV glass front framed to 15.25" x 19.75". There is some surface ripple and a slight mark in the top edge of the image, as well as a minor crease in the top right corner. In Very Good condition.
