Description
Bill Griffith Gay Heart-Throbs Unpublished Cover Original Art (c. 1970s). Bill Griffith (creator of Zippy the Pinhead), produced this unused cover for the ground-breaking Gay Heart-Throbs (brain-child of Larry Fuller and Raye Horne). The cover may have been an unused cover concept for the first issue. It was created in ink and gray tone wash over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There are whiteout art corrections in the top area near the original art logo, and production tape in the margins. The word balloon is a hand-lettered paste-up.
