Bernie Wrightson Secrets of Haunted House #5 Cover Original Art (DC, 1976). Happy Halloween, kiddies! Come inside... if you dare! This peak-period Jack-o-Lantern piece by Bernie Wrightson was originally drawn in 1973 (the date and signature, removed from the published cover, is on full display here). It was inventoried twice (as shown by stamps on the reverse) before finding a home as the cover to Secrets of Haunted House #5. It was too good not to use! The art is in ink over graphite drawn edge-to-edge on Bristol board measuring 15" x 22.25". Other than a small chip out of the left side and a couple of tiny tears along the right (easily coverable by a matted frame), it's in Excellent condition.
