Description
Ben Templesmith Fiddlesicks Vol. 1 Cover Batman and the Joker Original Art (78Squid, 2015/2021). Ben Templesmith's Fiddlesticks: Odds and Ends and Various Squidcuts Vol. 1 is a 32-page, staple-bound booklet featuring an original cover by Templesmith and glossy, full-color interior prints of his artwork. The original cover art, depicting a vampiric Batman cradling the Joker's decapitated head, is rendered in mixed media with an edge-to-edge image area of 5.5" x 8.5". Inside, the booklet showcases printed illustrations of well-known television characters, including Walter White (Breaking Bad, portrayed by Bryan Cranston), Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch), and Hannibal (Hannibal, portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen), alongside literary icons H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe, as well as gothic horror-inspired original characters. There is minor handling wear and slight warping to the cover due to the use of watercolor on thinner art paper. Also includes a "Thank You" card from the artist with an original illustration of a skull on it. The cover of the booklet is signed by Templesmith.
