Description
Barry Smith Bloodshot #1 Cover Original Art (Valiant, 1993). This first issue cover is remarkable for several reasons. One is Barry Windsor-Smith's incredible rendering of the hero, and also this is the very first chromium cover produced by BWS and Valiant comics. The art was embossed and printed on chromium card stock and affixed to the cover of every issue. A Bloodshot movie is currently in production and scheduled for release in February 2020 as the first of a planned Valiant film universe, making this piece an even more appealing prize for fans and collectors. The image is crafted in pen and ink over graphite and blue pencil on bright white 11" x 17" Bristol board. His chest emblem is hand-colored by BWS in bright red acrylic. Signed by BWS.
