Albert Nuetzell Planet Stories #7 Summer-1941 Cover 3-D Re-Creation Original Art (c. 1940s). Virgil Finlay's original cover art was masterfully re-created here in 3-D layers by Albert Nuetzell (aka Albert Nuetzel). There are two layers of die-cut opaque watercolor on illustration board, and those are placed on a painted 20" x 29" illustration backing board with the hand-painted magazine logo on it. This entire piece is affixed to a 21" x 30" pressboard. Every component to this piece has chipping and some broken off pieces, notably the corners, and wing tips on the top two layers.
