Al Williamson The Amazing Adventures of Buster Crabbe #5 Unpublished Cover Preliminary Color Image Original Art (Lev Gleason, 1954). Lost comic art history turns up! This title ended with issue #4, but not before art was produced for a story titled "Savage World" for issue #5. Here we have the preliminary cover design with color, which appears to be the work of Al Williamson with possible Roy Krenkel backgrounds. Produced in ink over graphite with watercolor on 7" x 10.25" Bristol board, with a 7" x 6" image area. There are spots that seem to have had paste-ups on the art, and there were paste-ups (all now missing) on the top section. It is in Very Good condition. The finished cover art is also in this same sale, so be sure to check it out!
