    Al Jaffee Superman #19 MAD Magazine Variant Cover Original Art (DC, 2013). DC offered MAD Magazine variant covers in April 2013 on 13 various titles, including this Action Comics #1 homage piece by MAD artist extraordinaire Al Jaffee. This piece displays the artist's trademark style, including himself in the foreground and MAD mascot Alfred E. Neuman in the background. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 17.5". The board has light smudging and handling wear. Signed by Jaffee on the shoulder of his running character. In Excellent condition. Includes a pieced together preliminary sketch. From the Al Jaffee Junk Shop Collection.
