DescriptionAl Fago - Target Comics Vol.6 #8 Cover Original Art (Novelty Press, 1945). He created Atomic Mouse, and his Frisky Fables entertained readers young and old. In 1945, Al Fago took the reigns on this slapstick cover from Target Comics vol. 6 #8 as both penciler and inker. While the town sheriff discusses the capture of a wanted felon, big, bad boy "Doodle" listens on, with a glint of trouble in his eyes. It's enough to make your coonskin cap pop off! Fago's comic art is well designed and open, with a clean, lush look to the lines. This art measures 17" x 25" and has a 15" x 21.5" image area. Some slight discoloration overall, otherwise in Excellent condition. A remarkably well-kept piece of vintage Golden Age art by a funny animal master!
