Al Avison (attributed) - Original Cover Art for Dick Tracy #80 (Harvey, 1950s). Even on the rooftops, no crook can escape the smokin' gat of Chester Gould's immortal gumshoe Dick Tracy. This is a very cool nighttime cover by Harvey workhorse Al Avison (we think). Great condition overall, though some elements have been pasted-up (including Tracy's hand & gun, and the brick smokestack). The logo and header info are recent replacements. Measures 13" x 18.5", with an image area of 11" x 15.5".Auction Info
