Description
Win Mortimer - Original Art for Supernatural Thrillers #4 "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" - Complete 20-page story (Marvel, 1973). For the first few issues of its run, Supernatural Thrillers presented graphic adaptations of classic horror stories by such literary luminaries as Theodore Sturgeon, Robert E. Howard, H. G. Wells, and, in this case, Robert Louis Stevenson. The classic tale of Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde is presented here by writer Ron Goulart and artist Win Mortimer, an odd choice, as he was never particularly known for his horror work. Nevertheless, Mortimer turns in a stunning job, presented in a bold cinematic style that clearly conveys the drama and the menace of Stevenson's original work. Each page measures approximately 10.5" x 16". There is a stat piece missing from the splash page and two pasted-in panels with two missing word balloons on the next to last page, but otherwise the condition of the pages is excellent.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
