Description

Timothy Truman Grateful Dead Almanac Complete 1-Page Story "What'll You Raise" Original Art (Grateful Dead Mercantile Co., 1990s). Truman, a signature artist with the Grateful Dead's music-spinoff publications, brings to vibrant life a scene from the band's elaborate mythology. Jerry Garcia is pictured, accompanied by a haunting lyric. "What'll You Raise" was a song the Grateful Dead recorded in 1979 but never released (at least not until two decades later) and never played live. Ink and hand-tinting over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Faint toning and marginal smudging, with light handling wear. Excellent condition.

More Information: Edit 8/11: Added the song title.
