Description
Terrytoons Artist Adventures of Mighty Mouse #7 Complete 4-Page "Terry Bears" Story Original Art (St. John Publ., 1953). Paul Terry's animated-cartoon factory and its comic-book spinoffs yielded many of the better Funny Animal-type features. This compact rib-tickler is a takeoff on the Katzenjammer Kids or Captain and the Kids comics, substituting rambunctious cubs for the mischief-prone boys and situating a grouchy Papa Bear in lieu of the Captain. Lovely artwork (without a byline), and a smart build-up to an ironic punchline. Ink over blue pencil on Bristol board. Image area, 12" x 18". Light toning.
