Ted Richards Dopin' Dan #1 Complete 1-Page Story Original Art (Last Gasp, 1972). A brilliant example of Richards' Underground Comix parody of the Sad Sack Army funnies: Dopin' Dan gets good and stoned for a parachuting exercise -- only to set his 'chute afire in midair. The solid radial composition creates a compelling sense of headlong motion, with an abrupt punchline and a smart denouement. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 13" x 18.5".
