    Description

Steve Stiles Heavy Metal V4#1 Complete 5-Page Story Original Art (HM Communications, 1980). Science-fiction humor, with a nod to the historic influence of Jules Verne. Stiles draws this one in a style reminiscent of Wallace Wood and EC Comics' SF titles of the 1950s. This yarn represents Chapter 3 of The Adventures of Prof. Thintwhistle and His Incredible Aether Flyer -- serialized in Heavy Metal and eventually collected into a single volume. Note: The reverse of each page contains detailed pencil art for another story altogether; these images are protected under layers of smudge-proof layout paper. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with Zipatone shading. Image area, 11" x 15". Excellent condition.
