Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #46 Complete Book Original Art Group of 24 (Marvel, 1988). This lot not only includes the cover and complete 22-page story "Groo's Clothes", but even the letter's column paste-up. As the title suggests, Groo decides to get some new clothes--but one of the greatest things about this lot are the 11 pages that have original art on the reverse side of the boards! Aragonés constantly doodles--the art just flows out of him! Such a treasure trove of art from a great cartoonist! Created in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with image areas averaging 10" x 15". Slightly toned, logo paste-up on the cover and indicia paste-up on Page 1. Some of the top margins are irregularly trimmed, with light smudging, edge, and handling wear throughout. Signed by Aragonés in the lower right image area and bottom margin of the cover, as well as the bottom right of Page 1. The "Groo-Grams" page consists of printed paste-ups at a size of 6" x 9", with residue staining from a missing paste-up. Overall in Excellent condition.More information about Sergio Aragonés.
