Roy G. Krenkel Creepy #6 "Creepy's Loathsome Lore" Complete 1-Page Story Original Art (Warren, 1965). Well-regarded for his work in sci-fi and fantasy pulps, it is very rare to find Roy Krenkel penciled comic book art. In fact, we only know of about 20 stories he penciled before this one, and that includes everything he did back to the early 1950s! It is even rarer that he handled the comic art alone and not in collaboration with another artist. In this one-page feature, the "Curse of King Tut" is examined. Supposedly the curse struck down the archaeologists who opened King Tut's tomb in 1922. The page is rendered in a eerie-yet-beautiful, faux-woodcut style. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 19.5". In Excellent condition, inscribed and signed by Krenkel in the lower left. Matted and framed to an overall size of 18" x 24".
