Robert Crumb Snoid Comics One-Shot Complete 9-Page Story Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press, 1980). Crumb's most obnoxiously funny character, Mr. Snoid, torments a prostitute in this alarming, rambunctious tale from a master of the Underground Comix scene. Snoid Comix is one of the last of the Old School Underground titles, produced five years after the original movement had faded and just a year before Crumb would reinvent the idiom with a Punk Movement-influenced magazine called Weirdo. The story, "Mr. Snoid in One Foot to Heaven," is rich in atmospheric, environmental detail, capturing, to rancid perfection, the particulars of Mr. Snoid's slum-dweller existence. The art is largely spontaneous, with the ink applied in Real Time with little preliminary pencilling. The medium is ink over graphite on Bristol board. The image area is 8.25" x 12.25", with faint toning, and scattered marginal stain-spotting. In Excellent condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
