    Description

Paul Isip - Fight Comics #20, Complete 4-page Story "Bataan's One-Man Army" Original Art (Fiction House, 1942). Here's a two-fisted four-pager based on the wartime heroics of Arthur Wermuth who won three medals for his combat action. Captain Wermuth was dubbed the "one-man-army" after singlehandedly killing more than one hundred Japanese soldiers - yikes! He identified strongly with the cowhands on his father's range in South Dakota and insisted on jumping into trenches "with a cowboy yell." Each page of this yarn has an image area of 12" x 18" and aside from color notations written in blue pencil and heavy edge wear, the art is in Very Good condition. From the John McLaughlin Collection
