Description

Olive Bailey Land of the Lost Comics #5 Cover and Complete Story Original Art Group (EC, 1947). This lot features the cover to this issue and two stories -- "The Den of the Devil Fish" (13 pages), and "The Fish School and Jewel Robbery" (12 pages). These "pre-trend" EC yarns were adapted from a radio program and revolved around Isabel and Billy, two kids who found themselves trapped in a fantastic undersea world. The cover has an image area of 13.5" x 19", and the interior pages have image areas of 13" x 18". Aside from missing type elements in the caption box at the lower left on the cover (which formerly read "Bringing you many of your old friends from the coast-to-coast radio program 'Land of the Lost'"), and some loose lettering corrections on some of the interior pages, these early EC pages average Very Good condition.
