Kim Deitch Waldo the Cat Complete 1-Page Story Original Art (c, 1960s). Deitch, a founder of the Underground Comix movement, remains a prominent and prolific cartoonist in the present day. His principal recurring character, Waldo, makes an early appearance in this grimly humorous piece. Also depicted are Deitch's seminal Underground character Sunshine Girl (upper left); and Moondog, a creation of brother Simon Deitch. Ink over blue pencil on Bristol board. Image area, 13" x 11.5". Moderate toning and scuffed outer corners. Very Good condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
