John Romita Jr. and Scott Hanna Amazing Spider-Man #57 Complete 23-Page Story "Happy Birthday Part One" Original Art (Marvel, 2003). Writer Michael Straczynski is back flying the Spider-Man ship in a 2-part story arc leading up to Amazing Spider-Man #500 (after issue #58 of Volume 2, the numbering reverted to the original Volume 1 numbering). Titled "Happy Birthday Part One," the story kicks off with a major inter-dimensional threat unveiled on midtown Manhattan, spurring Spider-Man into battle alongside a who's who roster of guest-stars, including the FF, Thor, Iron Man, Cyclops, and Dr. Strange. This is JRJR throwing down with some major widescreen action, and it leads off the way to the monumental #500, featuring a moment that will catch comicdom completely by surprise.
