Joe Staton Creepy #42 Complete 6-Page Story "The Amazing Money-Making Wallet" (Warren, 1971). Joe Staton produced some of his finest work for Warren during the early 1970s. This is an exquisitely rendered representation of that work. His ability with the pencil is showcased in this tale of a demonic wallet that you really don't want to lose! The shadowing and tactile quality is just beautiful. The illustration of the one dollar bill on page two is staggering! His attention to clothing detail and draping is superb, nicely represented by the "Hippie Chick" who plays a prominent role in the story (which was scripted by Steve Skeates). Each of these pages could make a new fan of Joe Staton. Together, they present a great opportunity to become the pride of many original art collections. These pages have an average size of 12.5" x 17.25". They are in Very Good condition, without any white-out. One of the three re-written stats have fallen off. Otherwise, all of the lettering is hand inked directly on the pages
