    Description

Hanna Barbera Scooby Doo...Where Are You #9 Complete 25-Page Story Original Art (Gold Key, 1971). This complete 25-page story, "The Phantom Clown," features great images of Scooby and the gang, as well as the Mystery Machine and the noteworthy villain, the Phantom Clown. In fact, this story was a loose adaptation of "Bedlam in the Big Top," from Season 1 Episode 10 of Scooby Doo, Where Are You? For some reason, several changes were made, such as calling the Ghost Clown the Phantom Clown for the comic story. Also, the villain's motivation differs greatly from the cartoon. But the drawings of the Phantom Clown, especially in black and white, look like the Ghost Clown that has become an iconic Scooby Doo villain. Includes a copy of the published comic in Good condition. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 17". Light handling wear. In Excellent condition.
