Description

Gus Schrotter and Ed Waldman (team attributed) Rangers Comics #55 "Massacre Guns at Pawnee Pass" Near Complete Story Original Art Group of 6 (Fiction House, 1950). Western heroine and adopted daughter of the Dakota nation, Firehair -- better known as Lynn Cabot -- blazes onto the scene, halting a gang of gold-hungry outlaws willing to do just about anything to strike it rich... even buy land legally. Firehair brought fiery locks, fearless grit, and a rare origin story to the frontier when she debuted in Rangers Comics #21, quickly becoming the series' breakout star. This tale, packed with classic Western tension and frontier justice, was illustrated by the S.M. Iger Studio, with Schrotter and Waldman likely behind the bold, energetic artwork. This near complete story includes Story Pages 2-5 and 7-8 of the original 8-Page story. Ink over graphite on Bristol boards with image areas of 12" x 18". Paper loss in image area on Page 2, significant creasing/wrinkling, edge tears, creasing, toning, soiling, moisture staining, foxing, smudging, whiteout corrections, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, and handling wear. In Good condition.
