Gilbert Shelton, Ted Richards, and Others Give Me Liberty! A Revised History of the American Revolution Complete 1-Page Story Original Art, and 5 Freak Bros. Proofs (Rip Off Press, 1976). The outright weirdest publication from the U.S. Bicentennial is Give Me Liberty! -- a Zap Comix-style Underground jam featuring Gary Hallgren and Willy Murphy in addition to principal creators Shelton and Richards. The individual styles mesh seamlessly. The page is supplemented by five pages of memorabilia -- actual-size photostatic reproductions from Shelton's Fabulous Furry Freak Bros. series, from the same general period. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 12" x 18". (Stat proofs measure 10" x 17.5") Marginal scribbling and light toning. Excellent condition.
